Journey ends too soon for Julia Harnett…

The judges said it wasn’t unanimous, nor was it an easy decision, but the Top 18 became 16 as our beautiful dancer Julia Harnett was eliminated from the competition.
THANK YOU JULIA for allowing Canada, and everyone at home in Calgary, to participate and share in your journey on So You Think You Can Dance Canada. We know you can dance. You are truly an inspiration. We welcome you home with open arms and hugs all round!
On week 3, Julia & her partner draw contemporary out of the hat and Jesse could hardly handle his excitement by jumping up and down and squealing in excitement. They hit rehearsal with Miss Stacey Tookey and begin their story of forbidden love. The piece starts and Julia is up on the back stair showing that she hasn’t forgotten that ballet technique of hers before she became a mama. (Did you see her baby in the opening clip? So adorable.) With a full moon lit behind them, they performed this emotional routine circling a bench. “Julia, your elegance is so, so beautiful,” Tré said, appreciating her musicality. “Jesse, I wanted to see you showcase yourself more,” she adds.
The verdict: After the judges deliberated, the girls who were at risk of elimination stepped back onto the stage. Jean Marc revealed that Julia would be leaving SYTYCDC.
“I feel really good. I feel so grateful,” an emotional Julia said, hugging Leah.
“This was a dream come true for me,” she added, with tears streaming down her cheeks, thanking the judges for their feedback.
Solos, the bottom 3 girls….Julia was the last girl up and she performed a spicy Latin solo costumed in a loose silver tunic over a sparkly black bikini. “That was gorgeous,” Leah said after she danced.
